David is on vacation this week and Monday's weather was was gorgeous so we went down to the river and ate outside at Captain's Quarters. The food was great and of course I took my camera. ;-)

Bloggers meet....

I had the awesome pleasure of meeting some bloggers that I follow. Most of them are here local and although a few of us have kids about the same age we had never met in person.

Missy from Live Big and Laugh Often whose pictures of her sister Paige are gorgeous and who drove up to meet us
Lisa from The Long Road to China whose pictures are as awesome as she is. Lisa was in town on business and we thought what better time for us to meet.








We had such an awesome time and the girls ask when they will see their new friends again. Missy and I had hoped to do a photo shoot Friday but unfortunately she woke up with a bad headache and decided to drive home. Hope you are feeling better Missy!

After the storms.....

I took the girls to a park that has a lake for a short photo shoot. I have been having issues tonight with LR so I only have a few edited...

I love these girls

I am really trying new things with my camera and trying to get the hang of it especially taking indoor photos where I don't have much natural light. I find I am having to bump up the ISO (at least 1600) to get a decent picture. I am going to post a few pics I took this afternoon. Also, Olivia has strep throat again! Ugh!

Just a couple of pics from this evening....

I took the girls out side this evening for some photos. I am still a little confused on getting Olivia's eyes where she isn't squinting -- she does that when she smiles and on not having shadows on one side of their face. I used my reflector and that helped some with Sophia but Olivia.....sigh.....
