To say we have water in our basement is an understatement! We had 6" of rain last night and our sump pump decided not to kick on and flooded our basement. Unfortunately when I called the insurance agent we found out that this is not covered on our policy and so most of the girls toys are lost as well as a few other things.

ReplyDeleteOMG! You weren't kidding when you said "full" of water. I am so sorry!! :(
ReplyDeleteOh gosh...so sorry.....
ReplyDeleteBummer! Same thing happened to us a few years ago, and the insurance wouldn't cover for us either. :( At least we got the basement cleaned out... :(
ReplyDeleteI am so so so sorry.
ReplyDeleteOh No! I am so sorry to hear this! I hope the girls are not too upset at their loss (or you for that matter). I have never had a flood, but fire. I know how it feels to loose so much stuff.
ReplyDeleteHope the cleanup goes as well as it can.
Oh, noooooooooooo! I am so sorry!!!
ReplyDeleteBless your heart! What a nightmare! The pictures of the water at the stairs just tells it all. We have 2 pumps in the back yard and we are always keeping our fingers crossed in those big rains.
ReplyDeleteOh, Bec! I am so sorry!
ReplyDeleteOh my!!! Bless your heart. I am so sorry that this has happened to you. I have never heard of a insurance company not covering something like this. That is terrible. Has your insurance company saw the damage? I think I would call them again.
ReplyDeleteUgh. So sorry to see your basement in that shape. I hope that the water has subsided. :(
