Well here it is another week has gone by and it is time for Black & White Wednesday. This is a throwback to Christmas. Sophia has asked for well over a year for a DS. She saw her cousin's DS which is how she knew about them. I was so set against it because I did not/will not have the child that takes their DS everywhere (restaurants, family member's houses). I, however, relented and Santa brought her one for Christmas. I set time limits on them and where and when they can play them. Here she is Christmas morning with her beloved toy:
Please go and see Lisa at The Long Road to China for more Black and White Wednesday pictures. Also she is starting something fantastic if you want to learn more about Photoshop and/or Lightroom.

Oh how cute!! You can tell she is thrilled that Santa delivered the DS.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out Becky....and I LOVE the new Watermark:)
xo,
Lisa
Sounds familiar! I was set against an XBOX 360 in my house, but broke down and got my son one, just so he would better in school which actually he is! So sometimes those little things can actually be pretty helpful! :)
ReplyDeleteVery, very cute one Becky!!!
ReplyDeleteWell I haven't broke down yet and bought a DS for Grace. G and W both have Leapsters, but Grace now wants a DS. I'm thinking maybe for her bday. ;)
Saweet! I've been holding off but I may have to cave in. Great image. (And I really like your new watermark.)
ReplyDeleteLOL I love it!!! Great picture. Both my girls love love love their DS!!! We don't take it every where but I admit...no rules. Come on cut me a break...I have 6 kids...if it keeps them quiet I say take it LOL They eventually give it up. My boys all had gameboys and eventually they just stopped playing them...but xbox, that's a another story. I figure xbox is now their future wives problem. : P
ReplyDeleteSO cute!! The J girls love theirs, too. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! My seven year old got a DS for his birthday, using his birthday money. He'd been asking for one for over a year! I know what you mean about not wanting them to take it everywhere...we're careful too :) Your blog is lovely, glad to have found you!
ReplyDeleteMy girls are just 5 years old but I'm betting this will be in their future at some point. Thankfully they still like their Leapster and (at least) those games are educational.
ReplyDeleteI love your photo. It tells a fun story and the angle makes it even more visually interesting.

I must admit my kids have them as well..but fortunately they are not electronic happy...they play it once and a while..they are more binge players..where one day they play it alot and then they do NOT pick it up for months and months...lol...I guess that is not so bad..
ReplyDeletePerhaps it de-stresses them periodically...lol..
Your girls are simply stunning.....
She looks sooo content! No wonder Santa decided to bring one after all :) Great capture!
ReplyDeleteMy girls each received a DS from Santa.
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful for those long trips to doctor's visits out of town.
Love this shot. Annslee has asked for one for over a year and I keep putting it off. She has enough $$ in her piggy bank and she is letting me sell a lot of her toys at consignment so I may just let her buy it herself : )
ReplyDeleteMy sweetie loses his ds every where. It is so annoying : ). I am glad your daughter loves it and has a wonderful time with it : ) She looks engrossed!
ReplyDeleteDarling picture of your sweet girl.....thankfully we are still thrilled with the Leapsters here! lol
